Rob spent 4 years in the US Army before graduating from BIOLA University. He has a master's degree in education from Cairn University. He is currently the Director of Independent Studies at Fresno Pacific University.

Rob and his wife, Carrie have been married since 1990 and they currently call Clovis, California home. They have two adult children, Amanda and Micah.
